My work begins with the contemplation of proliferating human prayers and their complexity.

Prayers undergo a complex process where virtue and vice intertwine, continuously multiplying without end. Through visualizing this phenomenon, I seek to unravel the essence at its core.

Inspired by the Japanese talisman Daruma, Dalots embodies the accumulation of human prayers, carrying their emotions and manifesting the chain of prayer. The surrounding bricks and cobblestones symbolize civilizations built upon human desires, while the windows represent the presence of diverse individuals with different backgrounds beyond the prayers.

To illuminate the multifaceted nature of prayer, “Another Story” is presented as a portrait of nature that serves as a counterpart to Dalots. Natural phenomena, depending on one's perspective, can be a blessing or a disaster, yet they remain indiscriminate, recurring as mere events—serving as the fundamental source of human prayer. I project this detached perspective of nature onto the ambiguous and unstable expressions of children, where the boundary between virtue and vice has not yet solidified. Prayers transcend time and space, continuously multiplying in ever-changing forms. By portraying those who merely observe this proliferation, I seek to delve into the roots of prayer and reveal its many facets.
